Deadline: Resident Volunteer Applications Due April 15th

Do you like making friends with people from all over the world? Are you all about challenging yourself and having fun in a new and exciting city? When your friends describe you do they say how outgoing and friendly you are? If you answer yes to these questions, you should apply to become a Pax Lodge Resident Volunteer.
Applications for our Resident Volunteer Programme for positions starting between November and April are due April 15th. The Resident Volunteer position is a voluntary one for 2 – 5 months. It is open to active members of WAGGGS, ages 18 – 25 years. Board and lodging is provided within Pax Lodge and a small weekly allowance.
“My time here at Pax Lodge has truly been more than I could have ever hoped for. The experiences I have gained through the volunteer programme are things I can utilize when I return home,” says former volunteer Jenn Gire.
The role of Resident Volunteer involves a variety of responsibilities including, assisting with housekeeping, providing tours to guests at Pax Lodge, and organising exciting and diverse programmes and event. In addition, they assist the catering manager with projects and lead event participants into the sights of London.
Another former volunteer from Brazil talks about the Resident Volunteer programme, saying, “I think every Guide and Girl Scout should have the opportunity of working in one of the World Centre and Pax Lodge is a great place to start! You are in an amazing city, with amazing bunch of people from amazing countries sharing amazing experiences… and if you think I use too many “amazing” words that means you haven’t been here yet.”
